Air Abrasion - filling without drilling

Air abrasion works by directing a stream of particles-biologically inert aluminium oxide-at the tooth. The particles strike the tooth and prepare the cavity ready for filling without the need for local anaesthetic or the use of the dental drill. The unit cannot be used for every cavity but where its use is appropriate it is truly impressive.
